Chris Yang attended the 2013 Private Equity Analyst Conference in New York City. He participated in the panel, “Growth Equity Grows.” The panel focused on the growth equity impact and how these businesses compare to late-stage venture. The panel discussed what growth equity is and how it fits with venture and the different characteristics between them, specifically the risks and returns. Also, the panel addressed whether or not growth equity is considered a separate asset class and if there are more opportunities now than before. The panel discussed these opportunities globally as well as what is considered a typical exit for growth equity.
