500 Volunteers from over 40 companies of the tech start-up ecosystem around Boston followed the call by the Technology Underwriting Greater Good (TUGG) for a day of giving back to the Boston community. 13 non-profit organizations benefitted from the extra help on a day organized in collaboration with Boston Cares and BostInnovation.
Grove Street Advisors joined the long list of venture capital and tech companies with a team of eight. Our contribution went to the “Extras for Creative Learning” a non-profit that provides teachers, group leaders, parents and artists with low-cost or no-cost recycled materials for creative projects. The center saves about 1 ton of materials from the landfills per month by taking excess inventory, outdated stock, overruns or seconds from businesses. We propped up the warehouse for their fund raiser held that night.
