Grove Street makes it easy to share your pictures in online photo albums. If you have a digital camera or photo scanner, start putting your pictures online now!

Tips

We at Grove Street don't claim to be good photographers. Among the hundreds of photos by Rich, there's this gem: Yummy McD Fries. How much would you have to be paid to hang that on your wall? And what's more, most of the photos Josh has posted are even worse.

In other words, we are in no position to give advice on how to be a great photographer. But we can offer advice on where to find advice. (Surfing is something we understand.) We also can help you find more information about cameras, scanning, and other photo-relevant topics.

Improving your photography skills

Buying a digital camera

Buying a scanner

  • Stop! Don't buy a scanner until you've already bought a digital camera. You can always scan those old photos later -- but you shouldn't miss capturing your new photos digitally.
  • OK. Now that you're ready to scan those old photos, try the scanner product guides at CNET or ZDNet.
  • Can't decide? Just buy an HP, such as the 4200, as long as your computer supports the USB interface, as new PCs and Macs do.

Using a scanner

If you feel as if this list isn't long enough, spend some time at Yahoo's photography page, or jump right to the digital photography page.

Also, if you have suggestions for links, please send a note to Josh.
