12/01/2005 - LAST MINUTE With the help of Amber in CO we were able to save this beautiful Belgian Gelding last minute..... Literally LAST MINUTE before they started loading the slaughter-truck at the kill-pen in CO..... LEO - a huge, handome boy of about 18 hands. He doesn't look too old...probably early teens. One of his front hooves has a massive chunk cut out of it, all the way up to the coronary band and through the laminae and wall (photo available). His other hooves are in great shape - we don't know what the story is with his bad hoof. It's uncertain if it will regrow okay, or if it will stay like that.... Adoption fee: $700 |
