Bruce is a Managing Partner of GSA and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He leads investments across all segments of private equity and has particular interest in small and mid-cap buyouts, deep value and turnaround strategies, and IT growth and venture funds. Bruce co-leads GSA’s strategy and portfolio development in China and is actively involved in the firm’s secondary fund investing activities. He has worked closely with clients managing the wind down of mature portfolios and contributes to creating and delivering customized client training modules. Bruce also analyzes portfolio trends and emerging themes in private equity markets.
Bruce first joined GSA in 2007. Previously, he was with the Monitor Group, a leading strategy consulting firm and the sponsor of a series of successful mid-market private equity funds, where he focused on M&A, due diligence, corporate finance, and strategy engagements for both corporate and private equity clients in carve-outs, investment diligence, growth initiatives, balance sheet optimization, and strategic turnarounds. His engagements spanned three continents, having worked significant periods of time in the U.S./Canada, China, London, and Israel.
